Infosys open R&D Development Centre in Karlovac, 24 April 2017

Infosys, the global leader for technological solutions and consulting, opened its Development Centre in Karlovac (55 kms from capital Zagreb) on 24 Apr 2017. Staffed by around 100 local engineers, it is geared for developing the most advanced engineering and R&D solutions for whole of Europe. The opening was done by Mr. Ravi Kumar, President and Deputy COO of Infosys, Croatian Deputy Minister of Economy Mario Antonic, Indian Ambassador to Croatia Sandeep Kumar, and Mayor of Karlovac Damir Jelic.

Infosys is a company of nearly 200,000 employees, operating in over 50 countries, and with over US$ 10 billion in revenues. Infosys operations in Karlovac can be a model for other Indian business leaders to forge partnership with Croatian entrepreneurs, combining Indian technological know-how with local talent and expertise. The current strength of engineers is expected to be doubled over the course of next year.

The renewal of the Cultural Exchange Programme (CEP) between the Govt. of the Republic of India and the Govt. of the Republic of Croatia for the years 2023-25 was signed on the 15th December 2023 between the Croatian Minister for Culture and Media H.E.
