On the occasion of International Day of Non-Violence, the Embassy of India, Zagreb, FER, Sveučilište u Zagrebu & Croatian Indian Society partnered a special evening celebrating Culture, Customs, Conversation, Creativity & Cuisine with a keynote speech by H.E. Mr. Ivo Josipović, former President of Croatia on Mahatma Gandhi's legacy with the topic “Nonviolence is a Weapon of the Strong”. The event was attended by Ambassador Srivastava who opened the gathering, Prof. PhD Vedran Bilas, Dean of FER, Prof. PhD Boško Picula, Fakultet političkih znanosti, University of Zagreb and Acad. Mr. Mislav Ježić, Indologist. After the conference, an interactive special Garba Dance Festival was held on the auspicious occasion of #Navratras, followed by Vegetarian Indian Cuisine. Mahatma Gandhi’s 153rd birth anniversary was celebrated in Zagreb with the presence of about 75 friends of India. We also remembered Second PM Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 118th birth anniversary. - October 04, 2022

Ambassador Srivastava participated at the 6th edition of Mirko Miočić Memorial, one of the largest open quizzes in Southeast Europe, held on 1st October under the sponsorship of the City of Grad Zadar, with a specially dedicated block about India on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Independence Day of India. At the invitation of the Director of the Center for Croatian Civil Society Development, Ambassador Srivastava participated at the round table on the topic of participatory philanthropy held in the IMPACT centre in Zadar and presented “Transformative Philanthropy in #NewIndia giving specific case studies including that of #AspirationalDistricts and of #ODOP - October 04, 2021
Ambassador Srivastava paid a visit to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb where he was introduced by the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of achievements and future goals, including collaboration with Indian universities. He also visited the innovative tech company Ronna Medical, a business offshoot of technology development at the faculty by Prof Bojan Jerbic. Ronna Medical is a unique multiple award-winning, 13-year-old, a tech company which specializes in Cranial Surgery using robotics. - September 30, 2022

Ambassador Srivastava attended the "Weekend of peace, non-violence and meditation" in Grad Vukovar, an event by Joga u svakodnevnom životu Zagreb, supported by the City of Vukovar and Embassy of India, Zagreb at the Eltz Castle. The event is also part of the celebration on the occasion of International Day of Non-Violence and #AmritMahotsav attended, among others, by Mr. Josip Paloš, Head of the Administrative Department for Social Activities of the City of Vukovar and Swami Vivek Puri, representing YIDL. After the forum, the attendees went to Eltz Castle, where the tree of peace has been growing since 2017. On this occasion, a memorial plaque was inaugurated, and those gathered offered their prayers for peace and lit candles. A special stamp was given to all the events by the children, the "Vukovarski Golubići" choir, in which the little ones wholeheartedly, as only children know how, supported the peace with their singing as part of the tribune. - September 26, 2022
The second India-related installation was marked with the opening of the Art Zagreb fair (ALU Perspektiva 2) at Akademija likovnih umjetnosti, Sveučilište u Zagrebu with the inaugural speech of Ambassador Srivastava, Mr. Tomislav Buntak, Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts and Mr. Daniel Tomičić, Director of Art Zagreb. Lalit Kala Akademi has chosen five contemporary Indian artists’ artworks for display as each artist has sent 15 artworks, making it a total of 75 artworks in recognition of the year 2022 being the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence. - September 15, 2022
Ambassador Srivastava participated in the opening of Artupuncture and the 57th Zagreb Salon of Visual Arts at the Mestrovic Pavillion with the Dean of AFA Mr. Tomislav Buntak, Ms. Martina Biennefeld, Director of the Zagreb Tourism Board and Ms. Emina Višnić, Head of Zagreb's City Office for Culture. In the latest edition of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Journal Ambassador Srivastava gave his views on the India-Croatia partnership for growth which can be summarized in 4 Ts (Talent, Technology, Tourism & Trade). Ambassador pointed out that #NewIndia exported close to USD 500 million worth of goods to Croatia last FY (more than double the previous best), which clearly indicates the opportunities for expanding exports in the post-pandemic world. - September 16, 2022
In an interview in the latest edition of Croatian Business Magazine Lider, Mr. Deepak Bagla, Managing Director & CEO, Invest India, highlights the forefront of bringing global companies and investments into the Indian market which enabled #NewIndia to allocate in the past 8 years, over USD 523 billion across over 62 sectors. The interview is also announcing Mr. Bagla's participation as the keynote speaker at the 14th edition of the "Big Plans Day" conference on 21st September in Zagreb which would be inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of the Republic of Croatia. - September 15, 2022
Ambassador Srivastava gave a presentation to the Rotary klub Zagreb Medveščak on Transformational Aspirations & Journey of #NewIndia and New Opportunities for Croatia. The session was attended, amongst others, by Mr Josip Pavić, Advisor for Sport, Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Croatia, 2012 & 2016 Olympics Gold & Silver medal winner in Water Polo & Mr. Davor Štern, former Foreign Minister of Croatia and currently represented in the city assembly of the City of Zagreb, and many other important dignitaries members of the club. - September 13, 2022

As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, let us rededicate our patriotic fervor toward nation-building! On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day Azadi ka #AmritMahotsav was marked with the enthusiastic participation of 100 guests in the Flag Hoisting ceremony. An evening of Indian classical music on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence, by Sarod Maestro Arnab Bhattacharya along with Tabla player Rohen Bose was held yesterday at the Ludbreg Castle. The event was attended by the Mayor of Ludbreg, Mr. Dubravko Bilić, and Ambassador Srivastava who pointed out that "Ludbreg hosts the largest investment by an Indian company in Croatia by ACG-Lukaps. Ambassador Raj Kumar Srivastava hosted the National Day Reception on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Independence Day at Zagreb and highlighted India's #amritkaal resolve for transforming India into a developed country in the next 25 years by following #panchprana as mentioned by Prime Minister from the Red Fort on 15 August 2022. This year, as a symbol of the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence, the multiple stakeholders in Croatia have decided, along with the Embassy of India in Zagreb, to celebrate the 8th #IDY2022 during 01-21 June in 75 different locations. The final event of this chain of 75 events took place in the beautiful park Zrinjevac in Zagreb. We deeply appreciate the participation of Mr. Josip Pavić, Advisor for Sport, Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Croatia, 2012 & 2016 Olympics Gold & Silver medal winner in Water Polo, MP H. E.
