Ambassador Arun Goel was welcomed by Ambassador of Qatar, H.E. Ms. Asma Naji Hussein Salim Al. Both officials agreed on the increasing importance of Middle Eastern relations in India's foreign policy.
 During the meeting were also highlighted historic and friendly relations between the two countries, covering a range of topics including trade, investment, energy, and security.
