Minister Obuljen Koržinek and Ambassador Goel expressed their satisfaction with the recent visit of the Prime Minister of the India, Shri Narendra Modi, to Croatia, during which the Cultural Exchange Program between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Government of the Republic of India for the years 2026-2030 was signed. The Minister and the Ambassador discussed the possibilities of intensifying cooperation in the fields of literature, publishing and translation, cultural heritage and performing arts. It was proposed to establish cooperation, as well as exchange of knowledge and experience between the UNESCO International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar in Zadar and the CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography Goa.
Ambassador Goel expressed his belief that, after the successful visit of Prime Minister Modi to the Republic of Croatia, a return visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of India will follow, which will be an excellent opportunity for a quality presentation of Croatian culture in India.
The meeting was attended by, in addition to the Minister of Culture and Media, Dr. sc. Nina Opulent Corzine, attended by the authorized director of the Directorate for International Cultural Cooperation and European Affairs Anja Jelavić and the senior advisor in the Service for Bilateral and Multilateral Cultural Cooperation Lidija Zozoli.
