The Embassy of the Republic of India in Zagreb, Croatia is looking for suitable candidate for the post of Chauffeur-cum-Messenger from 19 March 2022.

Qualification requirements:

• Completion of secondary school required (preferably School for Road Transport).
• Must have at least two years of professional driving experience.
• Ability to speak fluent English and Croatian language.
• Must have a valid category B driver's license without the traffic law violations record.
• Excellent reaction and night vision are required.
• Must have full knowledge of local traffic laws.
• Must be familiar with Zagreb area and Croatia in general.
• Must have basic understanding and knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance.
• Readiness to work longer hours, weekends and holidays.

Broad description of work:

Applicant would be required to undertake the following duties (not exhaustive):

• Drives flag car for all official travel and other duties in support of the Head of the Mission and of the Embassy in general.
• Picks up and delivers mail, official supplies, Diplomatic Notes, etc.
• Reports any problems or servicing needs to supervisor.
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance when necessary.
• Maintains vehicle in clean and serviceable condition, and maintains daily vehicle trip reports/logbook.
• Liaisons with Center for Vehicles of Croatia, Customs Office, Diplomatic Protocol Office in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia etc.
• Other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Salary per month:

• Pay scale: Euro 940-30-1390-42-1810-54-2350
• Gross starting salary: Euro 996 per month with annual increases
