ASSOCHAM AQUABIZ 2026 – India’s Premier Aquaculture & Blue Economy Conference & Exhibition | 6–8 August 2026, Vijayawada, India
Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is organizing "AQUABIZ 2026: Conference & Exhibition on Aquaculture, Fisheries & Marine Economy", scheduled to be held from August 6–8, 2026, in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. The event will be conducted under the theme: “Powering India’s Blue Economy through Andhra Pradesh”.
As India advances its maritime vision and blue economy strategy, aquaculture and fisheries are emerging as powerful drivers of economic growth, export expansion, and rural livelihood development. In this context, Andhra Pradesh has established itself as the Aquaculture Capital of India, leading the country in shrimp production and freshwater fish output while contributing significantly to India’s seafood exports.
With its 974 km coastline, vast inland water resources, and a strong ecosystem of hatcheries, feed mills, processing units, and cold chain infrastructure, the state has transformed aquaculture into a key engine of economic progress, supporting lakhs of livelihoods across coastal districts.
AQUABIZ 2026 will serve as India’s premier industry platform bringing together policymakers, global seafood buyers, exporters, investors, technology providers, researchers, financial institutions, and industry leaders to discuss opportunities, partnerships, and innovations shaping the future of India’s marine economy.
The conference will focus on key strategic themes including:
- Blue Economy & National Growth: Exploring export expansion strategies, value addition and processing, global market diversification, and strengthening trade competitiveness.
- Andhra Pradesh: A Transformational Development Model: Showcasing how aquaculture is driving rural prosperity, women’s employment, coastal infrastructure development, and growth of allied industries such as feed, logistics, packaging, and cold chain.
- Investment & Infrastructure Expansion: Opportunities in mega aqua parks, integrated cold chain networks, export processing clusters, marine processing zones, and advanced hatchery technologies.
- Sustainability & Innovation: Promoting climate-resilient aquaculture, biosecurity and disease management, sustainable shrimp farming, digital traceability systems, and the adoption of AI and IoT in fisheries.
