Fresh OCI Card for spouse of Indian National Overseas Citizen of India
For foreign spouse cases OCI cards shall be issued initially for 5 years only. Thereafter, renewal shall be subject to a personal interview with both husband and wife at the concerned Indian Mission.
Important Points:

Consular surcharge of EUR 3 shall be levied on all OCI services and must be paid along with OCI fee, as specified in the fee details section.

Fees for the all the services can be made online to Embassy’s designated bank account.

Applicants must ensure all the supporting documents along with document checklist are submitted. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Please bring all the required original documents for verification.

The online application for OCI must be completed online as described in the How to Apply section below.

All the personal particulars / data entries of the OCI application should match with the current Passport. The name of parents & spouse should match as mentioned in their Indian Passport.

During the online form filling on the OCI portal, all the supporting documents should be uploaded before submitting the application at the Embassy of India, Zagreb (Please Choose any of the available options from the dropdown if the uploading document type is not available). If any of the supporting documents are not uploaded, the application will be rejected.

After online submission of application form, no changes can be made manually or by scribbling over the form. In case of any error / changes, please fill a fresh new online application form.
How to Apply

Printed copy of the duly filled application form at https://ociservices.gov.in/. The application should be signed by the applicant at appropriate places.

02 recent photographs of size 51mm x 51mm. Application forms with photo of wrong specifications would be rejected. Photo and Signature must also be uploaded mandatorily in the online application and specifications can be checked in the section of instructions filling the online application.

Copy of present foreign passport of the applicant and the Spouse. Original documents must be presented for verification.

International version of Marriage Certificate issued by the concerned government authority (duly apostilled/attested by the concerned government authority). Kindly note the following;

If the Marriage Certificate issued in India, it should be apostilled/attested by CPV Division, Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

If the Marriage Certificate issued in Croatia, it should be attested by the concerned Government Authority
-
If the Marriage Certificate issued in a country other than India or Croatia, it should be attested by the concerned Indian Embassy/Consulate in that country.
-
Marriage Certificate apostilled by the member countries of the Hague Convention are not required the further attestation from concerned Indian Embassy/Consulate.

An Affidavit / Self declaration of the effect that the Indian / OCI spouse is still alive and that the couple are not separated / divorced.

Copy of present Indian Passport/OCI card of spouse (if applicable).

Copy of Birth certificate of the applicant.
-
Apostilled birth certificate of the applicant’s parents /grandparents.
-
In case of dual nationality, copy of other country passport is also required.

Additional Documents (if Applicable)

In case change of name, copy of Name change certificate issued by concerned government authority. Original document must be presented for verification.

In case of Change in appearance - Declaration to be provided.
Biometrics:

The applicants are required to give biometrics for OCI at Embassy of India, Zagreb during the document verification stage.

In all cases where biometrics are captured at the application stage, the applications for registration as OCI cardholders would be acknowledged on the online module only after the biometrics are captured and uploaded on the system.

Biometrics captured would be valid for a period of 5 years from the date of enrolment. Applicants with no fingerprints or poor fingerprints will be exempted and only facial traits would be captured for them. Applicants with a smaller number of fingers shall give fingerprints of existing fingers. Applicants above 70 years of age or below 12 years of age would be exempted from biometric capturing.
E-OCI Grant and notification to download

Upon grant of OCI card by the Indian Mission/Post/FRRO, the system shall generate the electronic OCI Card Registration (e-OCI card registration), ensuring accurate mapping of all approved applicant data and giving a unique OCI registration number.

An automated notification shall be sent to the applicant via registered email and/or SMS, informing that the e-OCl card registration has been generated and is available for download.
