On 12 June 2026, during his first official visit to Rijeka, the Ambassador of India to Croatia, H.E. Arun Goel, accompanied by his wife, visited the Yoga in Daily Life Centre Rijeka and met with the Mayor of Rijeka, Ms. Iva Rinčić.

The visit highlighted the long-standing cooperation between the City of Rijeka and Yoga in Daily Life through the successful program “Practising Yoga in Daily Life for a Healthy City,” which has been running for 14 years within the European Healthy Cities Network.

Dr. Maja Stošić, President of the Yoga in Daily Life Association Rijeka, presented the activities of the association, the Cultural Hall “Yoga in Daily Life – Dharma Hostel” project, and the ongoing Ayurveda integration initiative in cooperation with Patanjali Ayurved, promoting holistic health and wellness tourism.

The gathering concluded in a warm atmosphere with traditional Indian specialties, including samosas, Indian sweets, and aromatic masala chai, prepared by the Vegetarian bistro Tifan Co.
