India Day was successfully held at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Pula, bringing together students, scholars, and guests to celebrate the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of India, as well as the growing friendship between India and Croatia.

The event opened with welcoming remarks by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Fabrizio Fioretti, and H.E. Ambassador Arun Goel highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and mutual understanding in strengthening bilateral relations.

The program continued with the opening of the photography exhibition “India through the Lens: Maha Kumbh Mela – Inside the 45 Day City” by the photographer Petar Santini, offering a powerful visual insight into one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings.

Participants then had the opportunity to attend a workshop and lecture titled “Inner Victory: Living Indian Wisdom in Practice” by Dr. Eni Buljubašić (Mohanji Croatia), followed by an engaging lecture “India: From a Place on Earth to a State of Mind” by Assoc. Prof. Igor Grbić, ICCR alumnus.

The event showcased India as a civilisation rooted in profound philosophy, spirituality, and cultural diversity. It also reflected the positive momentum in India–Croatia relations, supported by recent high-level engagements and a shared commitment to deeper cooperation in education, culture, and beyond.

India Day in Pula stands as a meaningful example of how cultural dialogue can bring people closer and build lasting bridges between nations.
