On 28 May 2026, the 16th Middle European Students’ Indology Conference commenced in Zagreb, bringing together students, scholars, and enthusiasts of Indian studies from across the region. The conference is organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, and its Department of Asian Studies, with the Embassy of India in Zagreb proudly supporting the event as a sponsor.

In his welcome address, H.E. Arun Goel, Ambassador of India to Croatia, highlighted the importance of academic cooperation, intercultural dialogue, and the role of young scholars in strengthening mutual understanding between India and Croatia.

The event provides a valuable platform for academic exchange, dialogue, and a deeper exploration of India’s rich intellectual, cultural, and philosophical traditions.
