On the 25th August 2026, H.E. Mr. Arun Goel, Ambassador of India to Croatia, visited the Beli Visitor Centre on the island of Cres, dedicated to the protection and conservation of the endangered Eurasian griffon vulture.

The visit highlighted the shared importance of protecting endangered species and preserving biodiversity. India, too, is home to several species of vultures, making the conservation of these remarkable birds a shared responsibility that transcends borders.

Through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices, Croatia and India can learn from one another in strengthening conservation efforts and ensuring that these vital species continue to survive and thrive for generations to come.
