Tree Planting at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb
On 20th September 2025, Ambassador Arun Goel visited the Vransko Lake Natural Park and interacted with an Indian diaspora family whose child is attending an elementary school in Croatia for the first time ever. This special interaction, was an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds between the Embassy and the vibrant Indian diaspora in Croatia.
Strengthening Local Partnerships On 22nd September 2025, Ambassador Goel met with Mr. Zoran Morović, Mayor of Sali, who graciously invited His Excellency for an official meeting. The interaction highlighted opportunities for local development and collaboration, further deepening the bonds of friendship between India and Croatia.
As part of one of the thematic activities under the ongoing cultural initiative, Ms. Pallavi Kararha, Head of Chancery at the Embassy of India in Zagreb, presented a collection of Indian literary classics to the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb. Among the gifted works was also Mahabharata, one of the most important epics of Indian civilization. This initiative builds on the existing cooperation between the Embassy and the Academy of Fine Arts, where students engage with Indian art as part of their academic curriculum. It also continues the partnership established through the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Lalit Kala Akademi, India’s National Academy of Fine Arts.

The visit highlighted the Institute’s important contributions to marine research, environmental education, and the protection of Adriatic biodiversity, particularly its pioneering work with dolphins and marine ecosystems. Ambassador Goel commended the dedication and scientific excellence of the team, and reaffirmed India’s interest in promoting sustainable development, ocean conservation, and international collaboration in environmental stewardship.Grateful to the Blue World Institute for their warm welcome and inspiring work
