Mr. Raj Kumar Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Croatia, visited the University of Rijeka on Thursday, March 30, 2023, accompanied by Mr. Ivan Delić, Information and Cultural Assistant at the Embassy. This is the Ambassador’s third visit to the University, and this time, he visited Rijeka to open the Rijeka part of the initiative related to the International Year of Millet (IYM).   • 24th February: Read the article from the Croatian National Television titled "From St. Blaise to Bollywood, an unbreakable connection since the 15th century" refers to the strong India-Croatia & Grad Dubrovnik-Goa ties that date back from the 15th century, mentioning the ongoing week of "India in Dubrovnik" which ends on 26th February. The article points out that in recent years more and more tourists from India want to visit Dubrovnik because of the films that are shot here. Ambassador Srivastava mentioned that last February, a well-known Indian film production company shot a movie in Dubrovnik that would be released this year, and would surely increase e awareness about Dubrovnik in India.

  • 23rd February: As part of the "India in Dubrovnik" week on 22-2-23, the University of Dubrovnik hosted Ambassador Srivastava, with a lecture on the topic "What to expect from India in the next 25 years" for the students of the University of Dubrovnik. Ambassador Srivastava expressed his satisfaction with the India-Croatia ties on all levels of cooperation, which has grown rapidly in the last few years and invited the students to explore New India in the forthcoming Cultural week of India in Dubrovnik. A video of Mr Deepak Bagla’s, (CEO of the world’s best Investment Agency as awarded by UNCTAD) address on the transformation of India taking place was also played for the students.   • 20th February: Ambassador Srivastava and the Mayor of DubrOAvnik Mto Franković inaugurated the Week od "India in Dubrovnik".

  • 12th February: A two-day International Summit on Renewable Energy Sources (INSORE 2023) was held in Dubrovnik, organized by the Faculty of Agriculture from Zagreb, in cooperation with the North East Renewable Energy Lab from India.   • 25th January: Ambassador Srivastava gave an interview on the occasion of the ODOP exhibition at the Ethnographical Museum, Zagreb. The exhibition of the Embassy of India in Zagreb and the Ethnographic Museum presented the project "One district, One Product" by which the government of the Republic of India strives to preserve traditional crafts and improve the social and economic position of artisans.
