  • 15th December 2023 - On the occasion of India’s National Mathematics Day which is celebrated every year on 22 December on the birth anniversary of legendary Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, a seminar was held at the Faculty of Science,
    Department of Mathematics, where the beauty of mathematics as seen by Ramanujan
    as the thought of God was presented, and connections between Indian & Croatian mathemati
    cians were described. Mathematics as the language of the universe naturally has connected people of the two countries, in the same way as Sanskrit is seen in deep-meaning words in the Croatian language. People-to-people ties get stronger by recognizing different fields where we work together and where we see common heritage.

  • 9th December - The City of Bjelovar and Mayor Dario Hrebak invited Ambassador Srivastava to the Bjelovar IT Conference 2023, held on 9th December, where he could witness the positive energy of the ecosystem that has been built in the town of less than 40000 people with the Mayor's and City visionary leadership, hard work, and risk-taking capacity for the people’s better future.   • 30th November 2023 - India was the partner country of CroArgo and Healthy Food and Living fairs. At the opening, Ambassador Srivastava referred to the legacy of Nikola Tesla that the secrets of the universe can be understood by thinking in terms of frequency, vibration and energy, and expressed his happiness that the fair started with blissful Indian classical music on Sitar & Tabla. Healthy Living is a mindset and lifestyle matters more than medical issues. 90% of global ailments are connected to three issues Anxiety, Metabolism, and Stamina and stability. Broadly speaking all three have direct solutions through healthy living using principles of Yoga, Meditation, & Ayurveda, all three of which would be presented through consultations and workshops during the fair with India as the partner country. The Ambassador also mentioned that the opening of the Fair coincided with the ending of G20 India's presidency whose motto Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which translates to "One Earth, One Family, One Future," is also a mindset matter where we see our existential reality which is of Unity.   • 7th November 2023 - The national literary event, the 45th Interliber was marked with the special guest, diplomat and author Amb. Vikas Swarup. Ambassador Srivastava pointed out that the 30 chapters in the recently published book, would be expanded exponentially in the next decade driven by people-to-people ties as Croatia and India has convergence in Democracy, complementarity in Demography, and commonality in Diversity.   • 25th October 2023 - Ambassador Srivastava joined with the bestseller author Zoran Salopek on Eastern and Western perspectives and underpinning in conversation the meaning of spirituality, the importance of combining intuition with intellect, simplifying emotional intelligence by understanding the universe within and connecting it to the universe outside, and the power of meditation to bring us back to the present moment and experience the life as it is.   • 4th September - The Dobro jutro, Hrvatska (Good Morning Show) on Croatian National Television spoke with Ambassador Srivastava about ISRO - Indian Space Research Organisation successfully landing Chandrayaan-3 at Moon’s South Pole and its first Sun mission Aditya L1 to study Solar events that impact life on Earth.

  • 17th August - Ambassador Srivastava hosted the National Day Reception on the occasion of the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day in Zagreb which also marked the conclusion of 75 weeks long Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations in which 100 cultural and 225 Yoga events were organized in Croatia.

  • 11th July - Read the edition of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) monthly magazine FIEO News about Croatia as its focus market with inputs from Ambassador Srivastava.
  • 21st June - The final celebration of this year’s International Day of Yoga was held on June 21, 2023, in Park Bundek (lake stage) with 100 attendees, organized by the Embassy of India in Croatia. Ambassador Srivastava highlighted the theme of the 9th IDY of “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - Yoga for World as one Family”.

  • 17th June - Ambassador Srivastava participated at the IDY2023 celebration in Novigrad with over 100 yoga participants jointly with the Mayor of the City of Novigrad, Mr. Anteo Miloš. The event was also supported by the City of Novigrad,Tourist Board of Novigrad Cittanova and the association Amrit Sagar - Yoga Novigrad-Poreč.

  • 10th June 2023 - Ambassador Srivastava participated in a yoga session, which took place in Drniš Fortress Gradina and was organized in cooperation with the Tourist Board Drniš and Yoga studio Yoga Back to Basic - šibenik Knin.

  • 16th May 2023 - Ambassador Srivastava participated in the open discussion organized by the Croatian Indian Society at HKD Napredak Zagreb "Exploring India & Croatia ties in R&D projects" with Prof. Mirko Orlic, FCA, Andrija Mohorovicic Geophysical Ins., Fac. of Science, Uni. of Zagreb who held a lecture on “How the discontinuity became Mohorovičić's” about the work of Croatian seismologist Andrija Mohorovičić, credited with discovering and defining the Moho Discontinuity in 1909. Ambassador Srivastava invited the attendees to join the strong ongoing R&D ties between India and Croatia which are connected already through several institutions which could create new potential breakthroughs for scientists and the youth of both countries.

  • 6th April 2023 - A gathering of 100 business persons from Croatia in Zagreb attended the conference on “How to do Business with India” organized by India Croatia Business Club. Amb Raj Srivastava in his address explained the great transformation
    taking place in India based on unique strength of 4Ds of Democracy, Demography, Diversity, & Demand in India.

  • March 30, 2023H.E. Mr. Raj Kumar Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Croatia, visited the University of Rijeka on Thursday, March 30, 2023, accompanied by Mr. Ivan Delić, Information and Cultural Assistant at the Embassy. This is the Ambassador’s third visit to the University, and this time, he visited Rijeka to open the Rijeka part of the initiative related to the International Year of Millet (IYM).   • 24th February: Read the article from the Croatian National Television titled "From St. Blaise to Bollywood, an unbreakable connection since the 15th century" refers to the strong India-Croatia & Grad Dubrovnik-Goa ties that date back from the 15th century, mentioning the ongoing week of "India in Dubrovnik" which ends on 26th February. The article points out that in recent years more and more tourists from India want to visit Dubrovnik because of the films that are shot here. Ambassador Srivastava mentioned that last February, a well-known Indian film production company shot a movie in Dubrovnik that would be released this year, and would surely increase e awareness about Dubrovnik in India.

  • 23rd February: As part of the "India in Dubrovnik" week on 22-2-23, the University of Dubrovnik hosted Ambassador Srivastava, with a lecture on the topic "What to expect from India in the next 25 years" for the students of the University of Dubrovnik. Ambassador Srivastava expressed his satisfaction with the India-Croatia ties on all levels of cooperation, which has grown rapidly in the last few years and invited the students to explore New India in the forthcoming Cultural week of India in Dubrovnik.   • 20th February: Ambassador Srivastava and the Mayor of DubrOAvnik Mto Franković inaugurated the Week od "India in Dubrovnik".

  • 12th February: A two-day International Summit on Renewable Energy Sources (INSORE 2023) was held in Dubrovnik, organized by the Faculty of Agriculture from Zagreb, in cooperation with the North East Renewable Energy Lab from India.   • 25th January: Ambassador Srivastava gave an interview on the occasion of the ODOP exhibition at the Ethnographical Museum, Zagreb. The exhibition of the Embassy of India in Zagreb and the Ethnographic Museum presented the project "One district, One Product" by which the government of the Republic of India strives to preserve traditional crafts and improve the social and economic position of artisans.
